Healing Exhaust Ointment

We've all been there:
The graphite exhaust bushing on the GT/GTS may last a month or a year
but seems to always blow out when you are far from home or a shop. So,
we learn from our mistakes, order two of them and toss one in the pet
carrier, the other in the tool box so that the next time it goes out we find that it's been crushed by tools and other things bouncing around.
Well, not anymore.
Introducing "Healing Exhaust Ointment", A heavy duty plastic case that
safely stores your exhaust bushing, assuring it's in perfect shape when
you need it mo...
Immobilizer reset to "new" on some select models
Posted by admin

with No comments

We have started resetting some immobilzers for lost key situations. Piaggio, Vespa, Gilera, and Aprilia scooters have used several kinds of immobilizers over the years. Some are in the dash (500s mainly), some are in the ECU (EFI scoots), and some are a seperate box (mainly the carb scoots).
If your immobilizer is in the ECU like all the fuel injected scooters, we cant do anything with those currently. We can read the transponder numbers in the ECU, but dont have blank transponder chips to burn that info to. We are working on a solution here. It needs more research work.
If your immobilzer...

How To Scooter Repair
Posted by admin
Posted on 06:04
with No comments

So you buy a scooter and something breaks. Who is
going to fix it? Well, if you've bough in person from our retail store
in California,? we have access to parts, shop manuals and we will
have mechanics trained to fix your scooter. All you have to do is
bring them in.
But what if you are located outside of California, we
have a few suggestions for you. You can try contacting local
motorcycle (or better still, scooter) repair shops. If they are not
very enthusiastic about working on a Chinese scooter, no worry! Have
them contact our tech support department directly....

What is a Scooter?
Posted by admin

Well, here's what Wikipedia has to say:
A scooter is a style of two-wheeled motor vehicle
traditionally defined by characteristics such as a step-through frame,
wheels less than 16" in diameter, a
nd an engine located below the
rider and to the rear.
That pretty much sums it up. Motorcycles have an
engine mounted in the middle of the frame with a gas tank above it.
The rider sits astride the engine with the gas tank right in front of
them. Motorcycle wheels are also typically larger (over 16" diameter)
than those on a scooter. Another major difference is that the...

In the mid 1970s the Indian government saw an opportunity in the capital
equipment leftover from Innocenti’s activities. Seeing an opportunity
to create vehicles that would meet the needs of the poor and low income
in that country, India had all the equipment shipped to their location
and set up for new production. The Indian company that would take
on the Lambretta moniker was Automobile Products of India, otherwise
known as API. API’s own rich history began in 1949 in what was then
known as the British colonial city name of Bombay. Today renamed Mumbai,
API started with the licensing...
